Daisy's Anal Gland Battle Was Solved By One Ingredient Swap
Steve came to me at his wit's end. His dog Daisy was suffering from severe anal gland issues, and nothing he tried was fixing it. You can watch my video with him down the page.
He wasn't feeding her rubbish either — it was a decent, mainstream food. But her glands kept flaring, and he'd spent hours researching and thousands of pounds at the vet trying to get on top of it.
We started by looking at what Daisy was actually eating, not the marketing on the bag. It became clear pretty quickly that she had a poultry intolerance. For years, her diet had been built around something her body couldn't tolerate.
Once we removed poultry and rebuilt her meals around ingredients she could handle, her stools normalised and the gland issues eased off.
Steve's advice to anyone dealing with recurring gland issues: don't assume it's just "one of those things." An intolerance-led diet may help support healthier stools and reduce gland flare-ups for some dogs.
