Which Gut Supplement Does Your Dog Need?

Which Gut Supplement Does Your Dog Need?

When dogs come to me with problems like itching, sore tummies, ear infections, even liver or kidney issues, it often comes back to one thing: gut health.

That’s why I created two gut supplements that support your dog from different angles:

1. Gut Health Supplement: for soothing and healing
2. Probiotic Supplement: for balancing bacteria and boosting immunity

As both products focus on supporting the gut, I wanted to create this guide so that it is clear when each of these products are best used:

Quick Guide: Which Supplement to Use and When

Condition

Gut Health Supplement

Probiotic Supplement

🚫 No. Use Gut Health only

During a Flare-Up (severe diarrhea, IBD, gut pain)

✅ Start here. Calms and protects gut

❌ Wait. Use only the gut health supplement for TWO weeks first.

⚠️ Start with Gut Health only

After Antibiotics

✅ Soothes gut and reduces inflammation

✅ Rebuilds the microbiome

✔️ Yes, but Probiotic is priority

Healthy Dogs (Prevention)

✅ Use as needed during stress or food changes

✅ Use daily or a few times a week to maintain health

✔️ Yes

Can I Use Both?

Yes! Many dogs do well with both, especially if they're dealing with more than one issue. You can also start with Gut Health if your dog is flaring up, and add the Probiotic later.

Why I Kept Them Separate

I didn’t combine these into one supplement on purpose. Some dogs need gentle support at first (that’s the Gut Health Supplement), while others can jump straight into microbiome balance (the Probiotic).

Keeping them separate means:

  • You can choose what’s right for your dog
  • You can adjust how much and when
  • You avoid overloading a sensitive gut

Your dog’s gut affects everything. Their digestion, skin, immune health, even behaviour.

Whether you’re dealing with a chronic issue or just want to keep your dog feeling great, these supplements work from the inside out to support true health.
