How I helped a dog regain its appetite after refusing to eat
Paula was at her wits end with her pup Debbie. Debbie was refusing to eat, unless hand fed, yet kept gaining weight and her arthritis was constantly flaring.
Paula was at a loss. She had been feeding Debbie what she thought was the best dog food available. She couldn't understand why Debbie's health was declining and why her once-vibrant dog was now struggling.
It was as if Debbie’s life wasn’t fun anymore - she was lethargic and in pain. Her coat then started to get dark and dull and Paula realised she couldn’t do this alone.
That's when Paula decided to seek professional help and found my page.
Paula was hesitant to introduce new foods as Debbie had typically turned her nose up at anything and everything, but I assured her that we could change that.
Right from the first day she loved her new food, she started losing weight, and her coat regained its colour. Paula’s never had to hand feed Debbie again, and her knees are rarely swollen from her arthritis.
Debbie now looks forward to her food and has a whole new lease of life.
The reality is, despite Paula’s best efforts, Debbie quite simply wasn’t getting the nutrition she needed and the consequence was her health was declining.
You might think that this is nothing short of a miracle, but I see cases like this daily. Owners struggle with their dog’s ill health, when they can become their pups healer, with some simple food science.
The rubbish that we’re sold by the pet food industry is harming our dogs. I’m committed to bringing it back to basics, giving pups the nutrition they need and ultimately improving their lives.
